Human Resources Director Bonnie Zotos reported that Fidelitone Logistics already conducted two on-site job fairs and expects to hold another in January for about 30 more jobs. "We're always looking for good people," she said. We're a service business, providing service to our customers and rely on our employees to do the job for our customers."
Zotos said that she offered shift and split shift jobs to 35 people during the on-site job fair in August and 42 jobs in September. The jobs are customer service, shipping and receiving, picking, packing and forklift drivers. The process consists of the potential employee filling out an application, and offers are contingent on the applicant passing drug and background screenings, or forklift driver certifications, all done at Fidelitone Logistics. Zotos said she is working with Clearbrook for disabled adults in Rolling Meadows to provide jobs, too. By the 1980s they improved the shipping process and pioneered ship points for distribution to the end-user. "Today, between 20,000 and 25,000 shipments leave our facilities every day - all size s, shapes and weights – and with any carrier," according to www.fidelitone.com.
