Fidelitone Logistics Encourages Employees, Local Residents to Give Back to Community through Food Drive
WAUCONDA, Ill. - One of the largest employers and best-known companies in Wauconda, Ill. is leading by example to encourage employees and area residents to participate in a food drive benefiting the Wauconda/Island Lake Food Pantry.
The food drive kicked off at the Fidelitone headquarters, located at 1260 Karl Court, on Monday, August 17, 2009. The drive will be collecting non-perishable food items as well as school supplies for families living in Wauconda, Island Lake and the surrounding communities.
"At Fidelitone, corporate responsibility is less about improving our public image, and more about being a hands-on partner in the community in which we live and do business," said Fidelitone Logistics President Josh Johnson. "Fidelitone has been headquartered in Wauconda since 1991 and through the years, giving back and growing alongside the community has been a top priority." Area residents and Fidelitone employees will be able to donate items up until the collection pick-up time of 12 pm on Friday, September 4. A collection bin is placed in a public entrance adjacent to Fidelitone's main reception area, and additional bins are placed in the employee lunchrooms.
With nearly 400 people employed at Fidelitone's headquarters, and an additional 200 employees at 22 Fidelitone locations throughout the country, the Fidelitone team is excited and optimistic about the resources they will collect during the drive.
"Our staff is extremely focused on family and community," said Fidelitone Logistics Director of Human Resources Bonnie Zotos. "As a matter of fact, during a recent survey, a vast number of employees indicated that community involvement and local food drives were something they firmly believed in. By participating in this food drive, we are helping those in need, and also letting our employees know that their opinions are highly valued."
