Dedication to innovation
Entrepreneur Arthur Olsen founded Fidelitone in 1929 to manufacture and distribute steel needles for phonographs and jukeboxes. Under his direction, the company developed and marketed a durable extended-play needle that was marketed under the names of Permo and Fidelitone.

Mr. Olsen's niece, Arless, and her husband, Douglas F. Hudson, joined the company in leadership roles. Douglas was named president of Fidelitone in 1958.

As audiotape replaced vinyl records in the 1970s, Douglas knew that phonograph needles were destined to become collectors' items. He capitalized on the company's marketing experience and transformed Fidelitone into a distribution services company for home electronic repair parts.

Through the years, the Hudson's sons held a variety of operating and managerial positions. Doug Jr. and Art played an integral role in the development and success of the needle manufacturing plant located in Scotland and assisted the company through its transition into distribution services.

Craig Hudson is the current CEO of Fidelitone Logistics. Under his leadership, Fidelitone Logistics continued to grow its distribution services and, through acquisitions, expanded into the electronic, MRO and lighting industries. Diversification continued with the purchase of Aero Products in 1997. Craig oversaw the development of Aero's multi-tiered marketing effort, introducing inflatable product technology through infomercials and mass retail markets.

The fourth generation has now taken a leadership role in the company. Josh Johnson, the Hudson's son-in-law, joined Fidelitone Logistics in 1997 and was named president in 2004. He proudly carries on the legacy of leading a successful, entrepreneurial and innovative privately -owned business.
